In May 2017, the Canadian telecommunications company Bell suffered a data breach that exposed millions of customer records. The data was subsequently leaked online with a message from the attacker saying they were "exposing a significant portion of Bell.cas data due to their failure to cooperate with us" and threatening to leak more data. The affected data included more than 2 million unique email addresses and 153,000 survey results dating back to 2011 and 2012.
