Around July 2015, a Sony Playstation hacking and modding forum known as PS3Hax was hacked and over 447 thousand accounts were exposed. On the vBulletin forum, IP addresses and passwords were stored as salted hashes using a weak implementation that allowed many of them to be quickly cracked.
