At the end of March 2022, Sri Lanka's payment gateway PayHere suffered a data breach. As a result, more than 65 GB of payment data were exposed. The records included more than 15 million unique email addresses. The leak also contained IP addresses, physical addresses, names, phone numbers, purchase history and partially private credit card information.
