In December 2021, Indian retailer Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd was hacked and offered a ransom. The ransom demand was rejected and the data was released the following month. They contained 5.4 million customer and employee records, including names, phone numbers, physical addresses, dates of birth, order histories and MD5 hashed passwords.
